CPSL’s external team is comprised of around 3,000 experienced and qualified freelance professionals from around the globe.
With such a huge range of resources at our fingertips, including translators, proofreaders, interpreters, layout and formatting specialists, localization engineers, technical writers and many more, CPSL is able to match these skills with the specific requirements of your project — no matter how specialized. The management of our resources is performed by the vendor management department, which is also responsible for finding the world’s best resources and adding them to CPSL’s global team.
Recruiting the world’s best resources
At CPSL, we demand the very highest standards from our collaborators. We recruit based on strict quality criteria, using a rigorous but fair process of selection.
- The candidate provides a CV, detailing their expertise and specialist fields. These are assessed by our vendor management department.
- Selected candidates are asked to take part in an aptitude test. For example, language professionals take a linguistic aptitude test. This tests their command of the source language, translation skills and techniques, writing ability and style and knowledge of relevant subject fields.
- If the candidate meets the required standards, we offer our general work terms and the candidate is added to our database of collaborators.
- Initially, new resources join our database on a trial basis. To become a fully-approved resource, they must complete at least three projects in accordance with our high standards.
The on-going quest for quality
Our commitment to quality does not end with the collaborator proving his or her ability in the recruitment process. All of our freelance resources are subject to continuous evaluation and receive ongoing feedback on their work. If the quality supplied by one of our professionals falls below the required standards, they will be removed from our database of suppliers. It is through this meticulous process of selection and monitoring that CPSL has built a highly-skilled and diverse team of freelance experts.
