Junior Business Development Manager, Barcelona

Are you passionate about languages and looking for new opportunities? Do you like to interact with customers and have you worked with a language services company in the past?

To support our sales team in Barcelona, we need someone with a university degree or equivalent experience who has worked in sales and has excellent communication skills. We’re looking for ambitious, organized, tenacious people with a strong customer service orientation to join our team. Prior experience in the localization industry would be a major plus.
A successful candidate must be willing to travel occasionally and able to wear multiple hats. We’re always a team, although sometimes you’ll need to work independently.

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS:

You must be a native speaker of English. It’s important for you to have certain computer skills, such as proficiency in Windows, the Office suite, CRM software, and machine translation tools.

YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES:

You will help us grow our customer database by securing new customer accounts. You’ll feel at home in the sales department, where you will focus on your business development and tailor your relationship with each individual customer while anticipating their needs and seeking the right solution for them. You will be in constant contact with customers through visits and calls in order to provide a first-rate CX (customer experience).

Junior Business Development Manager, USA (Boston)

WHAT ARE WE LOOKING FOR?

Senior Vendor Manager

Required qualifications and skills:

  • Education: University qualification, preferably in supply chain management or translation/localisation
  • Experience: Purchasing role for at least 5 years or Vendor Department in a multinational Company
  • Languages: Written and spoken Spanish and English as required
  • Skills:
    • Ability to work under pressure.
    • Excellent negotiation skills.
    • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
    • Ability to work in a team.
    • Multitask
  • Computer skills: Good user-level knowledge of the IT tools

Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Ensure that the company has at its disposal at all times the resources necessary for attaining the objectives.
  • Responsible for searching and the administration of external resources: contact, recruit, select…
  • Negotiate the conditions of the collaboration, (including rates)
  • Test recruited linguists according to specialized skill sets and the company’s process.
  • Proactively recruit new resources to expand the company’s database of external linguists.
  • Strategize new processes more efficient. Establish and updated processes which ensure to optimize the department.
  • Provide ongoing support to all members of the vendor management team.
  • Ensure that the vendor management team follows the established processes.
  • Act as the point of contact if problems or other situations arise and it’s needed a more “senior” contact person.
  • Solve problems, answer any questions and prepare reports as responsible of the department.
  • Set up and coordinate the team correctly to manage resources needs on time.
  • Attend trade shows and conferences as needed.
  • Be knowledgeable in and maintain up-to-date knowledge of the translation industry, including leaders, competitive data, proposal formats, competitive rates, and marketing strategies
  • Complete any other tasks that are deemed appropriate for the role.
