As one of CPSL’s external partners, you can be part of the global network of expert linguists who are the lifeblood of the services that we provide. We need people who specialize in:
- Translation and editing/proofreading
- Interpreting
- Writing and copywriting
- DTP
- Localization engineering
- Voiceover
- Transcription
What information should I email you?
- An up-to-date CV (preferably in English), for freelancers, or a general presentation of the company for agencies
- Tools and versions used
- Rates:
-
- Per source word for translation, editing/proofreading and/or TEP (translation + editing/proofreading)
-
- Per hour for all other services
I know that discounts apply when translation memories are used for a job. How does this affect translation rates?
When a text needs to be completely translated, the full rate is paid, but when translation memories are used, the appropriate discount is applied to the translation rate based on an agreed-upon sliding pay scale. Exact matches, fuzzy matches, and repetitions are paid at a discounted rate that reflects the reduced workload.
Do I need a university degree or a letter of recommendation to join CPSL’s team of external partners?
It’s not essential to have a university degree or to provide us with letters of recommendation if you want to work with us. These are only required from expert external partners who want to take part in tenders. Interpreters should provide letters of recommendation from, or the contact details of, at least two clients who can provide references for them.
How can I check or confirm the amounts of the invoices I send to CPSL?
Meeting Point, a tool that provides information on CPSL’s projects, can be used to check and validate all of the jobs you’ve completed for CPSL and the amounts that can be invoiced.
How can I log in to CPSL Meeting Point?
On the homepage of the CPSL website, click on the CPSL button (the partners’ area) and then on the Meeting Point logo. From there, you’ll be able to log in to Meeting Point. Enter your username and password as shown in your Purchase Order (PO). If the PO doesn’t contain a username or password, please contact the External Resources Management Department to request help.
When should I invoice CPSL?
You should send your invoices via Meeting Point between the 1st and the 15th of the month following the month when you completed the project.
How should I send my invoices to CPSL?
You should send your invoices via Meeting Point. If the project in question no longer appears in Meeting Point, you should send the invoice by email, to facturas@cpsl.com
What method of payment does CPSL use to pay its invoices?
Invoices are paid by bank transfer or PayPal.
Do I need to send CPSL a tax certificate?
This certificate is only required from external partners (freelancers) who reside in Spain. The Spanish Tax Agency (AEAT) will be able to provide you with this certificate.
